Venice Real Estate

The Island of Venice and Venice mainland offer its residents superb access to fine dining, shopping, golf, fishing, beaches and entertainment.  Located just south of Nokomis, Venice offers plenty of recreational opportunities, including swimming, sunbathing, fishing and boating.  Shelling is also a favorite pastime, and fossilized shark’s teeth can be found in abundance by sifting through the sand.  Golfers enjoy more than 20 excellent courses in the greater Venice area. Cyclists have easy access to the Legacy Trail which originates in Venice and continues north for 10 miles into Palmer Ranch.

Venice also is a Florida Main Street City – its downtown graced by northern Italian architecture and beautifully landscaped boulevards that date to the original city plans of 1925 and reminiscent of the Italian city whose name it borrowed.  At the end of those boulevards is the beach!  Venice beach for sunbathers, Caspersen Beach for beachcombers looking for shells and shark teeth.  And let’s not forget Brohard Paw Beach for our four-legged friends.
