    2018 4TH OF JULY – WHERE TO WATCH THE FIREWORK IN SARASOTA & SURROUNDING AREAS

    If you happen to be in the Sarasota area for this upcoming 4th of July, you’ll find plenty of fun and exciting holiday activities going on. Sarasota is one of the best places to be in Florida during the 4th of July because of the great weather, top-rated beaches and a wide range of events to choose from. There are many ways to celebrate the 4th of July, from parades, festivals, food, and of course, fireworks. From restaurants to beaches or even a baseball game, there are no shortage of options for families. We have picked a few of our favorite spots. Time to plan your Independence Day celebration!

     

    Downtown Sarasota

    The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular at Marina Jack offers a great opportunity to enjoy great views of incredible fireworks. This event is a part of the popular annual Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix, and the fireworks will start at around 9:00 P.M. You’ll be able to see the fireworks from anywhere in Bayfront Park or Bird Key Park as well as the John Ringling Bridge. The fireworks will also be visible from the Selby Gardens Barbecue event. More Info

    Sarasota

    Enjoy an All American Barbecue and Independence Day Celebration on the grounds of Selby Gardens. Enjoy favorites from Michael’s On East, live music from The Hydramatic and family activities plus enjoy the fireworks over Sarasota Bay from Selby Garden’s bayfront location. More Info

    Siesta Key

    Every year the Siesta Chamber of Commerce hosts a great 4th of July event located at Siesta Beach on 948 Beach Road. This event has become one of the most exciting and sought after 4th of July attractions in the area. The fireworks start approximately at 9:15 P.M., but festivities in the area start earlier in the day. Be sure to arrive early because this event is packed, and you can expect there to be around 20,000 to 30,000 people there during good weather! More Info

    Venice

    In the Venice Beach area, there are a number of good vantage points: anywhere along Venice Beach, Nokomis Beach, or from a boat on the Gulf of Mexico or anchored on the Intercoastal waterway, northeast of the Jetty on the water. Fireworks go up after sunset. More Info

    Anna Maria Island

    The 31st Annual Sandbar Restaurant Fireworks Spectacular is at the Sandbar Restaurant on the north end of the island next to Pine Avenue. There will be a VIP Party under the open air Sandbar Event Pavilion. Seating is limited. Fireworks after dark, weather permitting. Fireworks show viewing is free. 100 Spring Avenue, Anna Maria Island. More Info

    Bradenton

    Enjoy the fireworks display over the Manatee River after dark. The fireworks display is handled by the City of Palmetto. People usually mass along both sides of the Manatee River Riverwalk waterfront in downtown Bradenton and Palmetto. Fireworks start after dark, around 9 p.m. More Info

    Port Charlotte

    See their biggest fireworks show of their season after the Charlotte Stone Crabs game against Ft. Myers and before the game there will be a pregame Candy Drop, a $20 All-You-Can-Eat Picnic, and live pregame music from musician Tiki Tom! More Info
